Here at P.S. & Associates Event Planning, we know the importance of
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!
Planning events in the heart of Los Angeles has its perks; one of which being an expansive selection of impactful venue locations. Choosing a venue from the long list of options can present itself as a daunting task. That is why we are starting a Venue Feature Series…where we highlight our favorite venues in and around the city of Los Angeles. We will be giving you all the pros, a few of the not-so-pros, plus some photos of former PS events/weddings at each venue. So, without further ado…
First up in the Venue Feature Series is one of our all-time favorite LA locations...

Millwick is one of several venues under the parent umbrella of Marvimon Productions (other venues include: Valentine, Grass Room, Flora Chang, and Smog Shoppe). Located in the middle of the (very hip) downtown Los Angeles Arts District, this venue offers an indoor/outdoor 7,000 square foot floor plan (4,500 square foot interior + 2,500 square foot garden courtyard). Through strategic and thoughtful renovations to a nearly abandoned building, Marvimon has reinvented a forgotten space into a truly “unique, stand-alone super loft, open to private events, outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions, exhibitions, and productions.”
In addition to being centered in a pretty hip location, Millwick brings a punch of character all its own. Lush greenery fills both the courtyard and interior space, juxtaposing the exposed beams and industrial architecture. A huge roll-up garage door with glass panes separates the indoor and outdoor areas, giving you the ability to create a fun “reveal” for guests to transition spaces. The outdoor built-in bar (“The Fondrevay”) is a conversation starter at the very least, featuring jungle themed wallpaper and a perfect nook from which to serve drinks, apps, or even dessert. An interior 25ft cinema screen provides you will an unforgettable backdrop to any evening – think videos, logos, music videos, silent films…let your imagination run wild. The venue comes stocked with industrial metal chairs, wooden tables cute enough to remain exposed and eclectic furniture, including couches with black and white stripes, as well as tropical patterns (which you can either use or have removed).
